PET holographic transfer film for cigarette packaging transfer film, 15-micron PET laser transfer film

PET holographic transfer film for cigarette packaging transfer film, 15-micron PET laser transfer film 0

PET transfer film (full name: PET vacuum-metallized transfer film) is a functional film that uses PET film as a carrier. Through vacuum metallization and the application of a release layer/adhesive layer, it transfers an aluminum layer or other functional layers (such as color layers or holographic layers) onto the surface of substrates such as paper, cardboard, and non-woven fabrics. Its core value lies in "using a PET carrier to achieve precise transfer of functional layers, replacing direct coating on the substrate, thereby reducing costs and improving the appearance/performance of the substrate."

1.PET substrate pretreatment: First, a release layer (commonly silicone resin) is applied to the surface of the PET film. The purpose is to "allow the subsequently deposited aluminum layer/functional layer to be easily peeled off from the PET without leaving any residue."

2. Vacuum Aluminum Plating / Functional Layer Deposition: The pre-treated PET film is fed into a vacuum coating machine. In a high-vacuum environment, aluminum wire is heated and evaporated into aluminum vapor, which uniformly adheres to the release layer/functional layer surface of the PET film, forming an extremely thin (15-50nm) layer of aluminum (or other metal layer, oxide layer). At this point, the aluminum layer is firmly attached to the PET substrate.
3. Composite Transfer + Peeling: A "hot-melt adhesive/water-based adhesive" is applied to the surface of the aluminum layer. The PET transfer film is then laminated with the target substrate (such as paper or cardboard) at high temperature, causing the aluminum layer to adhere firmly to the substrate through the adhesive layer. Finally, the PET carrier is peeled off from the release layer, and the aluminum layer (and color layer/holographic layer) is completely transferred to the surface of the substrate. The PET carrier can be recycled and reused (except in some single-use applications).

Operating Procedures (Taking "Paper Transfer" as an example)
Film Loading: Install the PET transfer film (aluminum layer facing up, PET carrier facing down) onto the unwinding stand of the laminating machine. Ensure the film surface is flat and free from uneven tension (excessive tension will break the film, insufficient tension will cause wrinkles).
Adhesive Application: Start the adhesive application system and evenly apply the matching adhesive to the aluminum layer surface of the PET transfer film (adhesive layer thickness 5-10μm; too thick will cause adhesive overflow, too thin will result in poor adhesion).
Lamination: Feed the target paper from the other unwinding stand of the laminating machine and laminate it with the adhesive-coated PET transfer film at the heating roller. Maintain stable temperature and pressure to ensure tight bonding.
Cooling: The laminated paper + PET transfer film passes through a cooling roller (temperature 20-30℃) to quickly cure the adhesive layer and prevent the aluminum layer from shifting during subsequent peeling.
Peeling: After cooling, separate the PET carrier from the paper using a peeling roller. At this point, the aluminum layer should be completely transferred to the paper surface, and the PET carrier is wound up for recycling (can be reused 2-3 times, depending on surface wear).
Post-processing: The transferred paper can undergo subsequent processing such as cutting, printing, and die-cutting (be careful to avoid scratching the aluminum layer; a thin protective film can be applied).

Key Technical Parameters (Must Read Before Purchasing):
PET Carrier Thickness: 12μm, 15μm, 20μm, 25μm (15-20μm commonly used);
Aluminum Layer Thickness: 15nm (for decoration), 30nm (general barrier), 50nm (high barrier);
Peel Strength: 1-5g/25mm (lower value indicates easier peeling, needs to match the substrate);
Gloss: ≥80% (aluminum layer gloss, higher value means brighter appearance);
Width: Customizable (600mm, 1000mm, 1200mm commonly used).
HS Code: 39206200 (PET film, uncoated); 39206900 (coated PET transfer film, needs adjustment based on the specific coating).
